My KK Journey: 'Terbalik' and the Next Stop

Slept like a log and woke up late the next morning. Can't help it, the legs needed some time to rest and recover. Borneo Backpackers For the last three nights of this journey, here was where we stayed. I liked the balcony-slash-reading-slash-computer area and the toilets- clean, neat and functional. We stayed in the 10-bed dormitory with air-conditioned for RM 25 a night. The location of the Backpackers is good; across the main road to Gaya Street area. However, the lady at the counter was not very friendly and likewise to Xplorer Backpackers, there was no individual sockets next to our bed so we had to use the limited common ones inside the room or outside. My KK Journey: Paths of Glory

Yes, i am referencing my favourite book from Jeffrey Archer, Paths of Glory, a story about mountain climbing but no, i am not talking about Mount Everest. In this post, i will share with you my climb to the summit of one of the highest mountains in this region, Mount Kinabalu, and the scenic sights along its path. First and foremost, we needed to get to Kinabalu Park and finding the transport there was a long story. On the day before, we went searching for the public bus that would bring us there. From Wawasan Plaza, we walked to Center Point and asked the information counter for the bus stand. Unfamiliar, she told us to ask at the taxi stand. We walked out to the taxi stand and they pointed another taxi stand near the city park to us. We continued walking. Not wanting to use a taxi to get to Kinabalu Park, one of the drivers showed us the direction to the bus stand.
