I ventured into the world of blogging first as a channel to express my thoughts and share my experience. I realized a trend- my experience sharing focused mostly on food and travel. This led to the birth of this blog. Why do i spend time blogging? It is not to boast where i have been or what i have eaten. Neither it is to generate income. The reason why i spend time writing and arranging photographs is so that one day, my work here can be of guidance to others. People will get to know what Malaysia has to offer, at the same time, the variety there is out there. A simple 'Thank you' note of appreciation will suffice to make my day and fuel my motivation to keep going. Because there is so much more to life, food and travel broaden the mind and soul. Be brave and go see the world! I have not seen the entire world, i have not tasted all its food, but why stop dreaming?

My interest in food and travel began from home. I am not a rich kid but i am grateful that i grew up in a household that value food and travel, brewed with the passion to continuously explore and discover. Cooking may not be my best skill yet but it is a skill i wish to improve and master in years to come. I share the same interest with my friends too, although picking a day that suits all of us can be tricky, but the moment we agreed on, we're strapped and ready to go. Travel does not mean you need to go far or outside the country. It can simply be you in your favourite pair of walking shoes, stepping outside your home. Adventure begins where and when you allow it to happen.

This blog has grown with time, carrying with it a timely tagline to keep it fresh. The first is the present theme, set chronologically til the start of this blog.

See Feel Move Taste
Engage the senses- that's my message. Often we take for granted, for not being fully present. Take the time to immerse in the moment. With nature surrounding you. With the meal in front of you. With the people around you. Go deeper and you'll find an understanding more than just a look, bigger than just a bite.

Crossing Boundaries: I want to grab a bike and ride through the countryside
In the spirit of living fiercely, this also meant to move past your comfort zone, crossing that imaginary boundary that is holding you back (however note that safety and security should certainly be your priority when traveling). What stops you from eating that food you have never heard of? What stops you from taking that local bus? Why not start by saying 'hello' in a foreign language? Grab that bike and ride beyond those present fears. Wind in your hair, enjoy the countryside.

Food round the clock. Travel around the world.
I didn't mean eating constantly and going anywhere, anytime. I believe in well balanced eating and never waste food. The two main elements of this tagline are interrelated, an extension to my theme below that says 'it's together'. The first part is to say that this blog includes reviews of food that can be found at any time- dawn, tea time or late nights, apart from the usual breakfast, lunch and dinner. The second part is the fierce dream to travel the world by taking the first step. It does not need to be done in one year, or two, but as long as the opportunity and capability are offered, one country or one city at a time, i am to take that step forward.

Which comes first- Food or Travel? For me, it's together!
I began this blog with a chicken-or-egg question. In this sense, which prompts you for an adventure? Food or travel? Call me indecisive, i cannot pick one, and i settle for them both! When you travel, there's food. And when you find food, you travel. So how can there be a choice? Food tells you much- its culture, its tradition, its origin, that sometimes people don't notice. Same as a travel. But my meaning of travel is not to go to some place and back, 'touch and go' style if i may say, and claim i've been there. I want to be able to say that i've been there and done that. Food is a journey; travel is a cuisine.

Do we live to eat, or eat to live? That's another question to ponder, or not.
Food and travel are, after all, the sugar and spice to living life.
