Porto Romano, The Intermark, KL

I had always walked past this eatery, located at a corner near the center of the Mall, outside looking in. This time, to celebrate my dad's birthday, my family and i entered; i was quickly amused by the decor inside. Definitely prettier than what i saw from the outside. The place is cozy with classy Italian vibe. We were brought to our tables (we did not make reservation but lucky enough to have a big enough table to fit us). As i leafed through the menu, i realized that there are many choices of pasta and pizza, and if they are not your choice, there are other dishes worth considering too. Because there is a recommendation sign next to the Porto Romano Pasta, i picked that. Salad and octopus. Creamy with delicious mushroom flavour. Recommended. My Spaghetti Porto Romano. Mikey's Pizza, Publika KL

So my brother decided to have pizza for his birthday, we headed to Publika for an enormous pizza treat! As we were unfamiliar with the whereabouts in Publika, finding this eatery was like a game of treasure hunt until we sought hints from a guard to locate it. The decor of Mikey's is interesting, especially with the black and white tiles, and the adorned brick walls at every side. Felt New York-ish? There were a few seats to choose from but the one we wanted was too small to fit the six of us and the food. The diner did feel warm so we chose the seat closest to the door. Air conditioning needs improvements. Unlike the usual pizza eatery, after looking through the menu, we had to place our orders over the counter, pay dinner and wait for them to be served. Aglio Olio was pretty standard. Not much ingredients but flavour-wise, okay. Should have tried other pasta from the pasta section of the menu.
