Muar-e Kopitiam, Kuantan, Pahang
The last time i went to this kopitiam was many years ago. I could not remember the tastes of its dishes but i remember- and it still is, that the shop is mostly green in colour.
We had our Sunday breakfast here. It was rather crowded but we managed to combine 3 tables to fit 9 of us. The waiter that attended to us was friendly and definitely a senior. To order, we wrote down the numbers corresponding to the menu on a piece of paper and handed it to him when we were done. He could recite the orders in full just by looking at the numbers!
The kopitiam.

We were lucky to be there on a Sunday as this is a Sunday-only special: Nasi Kunyit with Chicken Rendang. It was delicious. The sticky yellow rice was cooked well and the chicken rendang was the ideal complement. Recommended.
As we walked in, i noticed this dish on many customers' tables. This Tepung Goreng was tasty. The gravy was thick and flavourful (salty and sweet), like that of lam mee. The flour noodles, like pan mee, was thin and smooth. Recommended.
My breakfast was this: Siam Mihun, and i enjoyed my breakfast a lot. The noodles looked simple but it's delicious. A little sourness and spiciness that added flavour (it is a Thai style dish after all). Recommended.
Despite the strong competition by its dishes, the winner of this kopitiam has to be the drinks. The Iced Milo with Green Coffee (right) was amazing. A unique combination that i will try to reproduce. It was sweet and chocolatey (from the Milo), and has that strong aromatic after-taste (from the Green Coffee). Highly recommended. Other drinks include White Coffee (left in this picture) and Teh Tarik. There were Muar-e's own coffee and tea too but we did not try.
Apart from these, there were kuihs (like curry puffs) and packed or plated nasi lemak over the counter. Some goods of this kopitiam were sold on selves at the side of this cozy eatery.
In short, almost everything we had was tasty, and that's what makes this place my favourite eatery in Kuantan (better than Hai Peng Kopitiam in Kemaman too). Although its prices were slightly above average, it is worth the value paid. Pleasant-looking and comfortable kopitiam that serves good food and drinks, what more can i say?
What? All as posted, especially the drinks
